Job Summary
At Perficient the Senior Test Automation Engineer / Senior Quality Engineer is a technical role that requires individuals who are creative and innovative for test automation architectures and frameworks. This role is responsible for designing, developing, executing, and debugging test automation scripts for both web and mobile applications to ensure the quality of the product.
What do you need to come aboard?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related disciplines.
- +10 years of experience in QA and Testing projects with agile methodologies.
- +6 years of experience in Test Automation projects with Selenium and Java, API Testing with Rest Assured/Postman.
- Have experience with administering/testing/implementing solutions on AWS, Azure, and Docker.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where resourcefulness, determination, and strong problem-solving skills are necessary for success.
- Build trusted client relationships through proactive account management and effective project delivery.
- High English written and verbal communication skills to build a trusting relationship with major project stakeholders.
- Experience with data driven, keyword or hybrid Test Automation Frameworks with Selenium and Java.
- Experience implementing BDD framework with Cucumber and Cypress.
- Experience with AWS, Git, BitBucket, Azure DevOps, Jenkins.
- Experience coding within some software development languages (VBScripts, Java, Python, .NET, C#, etc.).
- Solid skills at using Issue Tracking, Defect Tracking and Test Management Tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Solid skills with database management systems for data querying purposes (SQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.).

- Actively participate in Agile scrum ceremonies – PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Defect Review, Sprint Demo, Retrospectives etc.
- Actively participate in story grooming, analyze, and understand user story acceptance criteria.
- Define, design, and build Test Automation Strategies and Frameworks for API and Functional Testing.
- Build automated test scripts for applications/products using internal and open-source tools & cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and execute - test plans, test cases based on the user stories and ensure proper test coverage.
- Perform sprint testing, service/API testing, integration / E2E testing, functional and regression testing.
- Reviewing user interfaces for conformity and functionality.
- Working with software engineers to understand product architecture, integrations, and features.
- Execute the test automation suite according to the work plan.
- Analyzing test results, being a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process.
- Identify, collect, and provide the test automation results and metrics.
- Documenting, tracking bugs to closure and reports on project status to stake holders.
- Ability to write complex queries to perform data validation.
