Job Summary

As part of Perficient, the QA Test Automation Architect is a pivotal role with strong understanding and exposure to automation frameworks and technologies to support continuous integrations. This person is responsible for overseeing the entire test automation strategy in the different levels of software development life cycle, and works primarily with software developers, release engineers and SDETs. This person should be able to take decisions and push back whenever the team is full of capacity. This position requires solid communication and reporting to upper management.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Define test strategies, test plans and document automation solution and approach.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and product owners to identify the test automation scope.
  • Design, build, implement and maintain the test automation framework.
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure team to ensure adequate test environments, test data and test tools.
  • Execute the test automation suite according to the work plan.
  • Identify, report and track incident or defect according to the defect management process.
  • Create manual/automated test scripts by leveraging requirements documentations and wireframes. 
  • Identify, collect, and provide the test automation results and metrics.
  • Contribute to weekly status reports, interact with clients and vendors as needed. 
  • Build trusted client relationships through proactive account management and effective project delivery. 
  • Establishes knowledge of client business challenges and priorities to translate into opportunities. 




What do you need to come aboard?

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related disciplines.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development and/or software QA and Testing.
  • 6+ years of experience developing test automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency with 2 or more programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, .Net, C++, C#)
  • Strong automation experience using Selenium, Java, TestNG.
  • Experience with AWS, SQL and MySQL, Git, BitBucket, Azure DevOps, Jenkins 
  • Experience implementing BDD framework with Cucumber and Cypress.
  • Experience with web services automation tools using Postman and Rest Assured 
  • Ability to read code and participate in code reviews.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and technical design documents. 
  • High English written and verbal communication skills to build a trusting relationship with major project stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork skills, and analysis abilities.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

To Rock This Role, You Should 

  • Experience working in some industries such as financial, banking, retail, healthcare, and high technology.
  • Experience developing and executing tests in Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, User Acceptance Testing and Regression Testing.
  • Solid skills administrating Test Management and Defect Management tools. Tools (e.g. ALM, Test Manager, SilkTest, Bugzilla, JIRA, Zephyr, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM platform. Comprehensive knowledge on (Configuration & Setup, Object Manager & Lighting App Builder, Data Management, and Workflow/Process Automations)
  • Proficiency in API testing and API testing tools like Postman.
  • Proficiency in Integrations with Salesforce. Being able to understand external systems that interact with in the system that finally interact with Salesforce.
